This YouTuber drove a fake supercar — a Lamborghini Murcielago replica — to find out what it’s like driving it compared to the real supercar, and his opinions were rather interesting.

The Murcielago in question was owned by his friend, who is also an enthusiast who works on cars.

Replicas aren’t uncommon either, and it’s an entirely different experience to own an actual Lamborghini than a replica — especially if you’re determined enough to keep improving it.

All in all, the experience will vary depending on how you feel about replicas.

Man reveals what it’s like to drive a Lamborghini Murcielago replica

YouTuber James Martin from the channel JayEmm on Cars shared the experience of driving a Lamborghini Murcielago replica in a recent video.

He started off by talking about replicas, which happens to be a growing trend.

While far too many enthusiasts often build ‘fake’ Lambos like this man who built an Aventador replica, the Murcielago rarely makes it to the list.

Speaking about his experience, James said it very much feels like the real thing, and some parts are identical.

It, however, isn’t an exact replica — and will never be.

If you have experienced the real thing as he did, you would notice some irregularities.

In this case, James noted that the driving experience was vaguely similar, but the performance difference was noticeable at high speeds.

Powered by the iconic 300-plus-horsepower BMW V12 engine, it almost mimics the real supercar.

Regardless, the appearance is noticeable if you look hard enough because the body kit doesn’t exactly fit as ‘imperfectly’ on the custom chassis as the real thing does.

It’s a fake supercar, but it also isn’t

Now, owning a Lamborghini Murcielago replica can be a varied experience for everyone.

Many petrolheads do it and often fail, too — like this man who restored an LS Lamborghini.

Many YouTubers also advise against getting a replica because of the immense amount of work it demands.

One YouTuber even said you should never buy a fake Lamborghini because of his Huracán replica experience.

Case in point — it entirely depends on how you look at it, not literally, of course.

As James explained, his friend who owns this Murcielago replica is glad to own it because he likes working on cars.

With a replica, you always have something that needs work or upgrading to make it look like the real thing.

It’s the process that he relishes rather than driving.

Although driving is all that matters, it’s more of a mental thing.

You can obviously choose to buy the real thing, but with a replica, you get much more freedom.

Ask John Cena if you don’t believe us because he got a fake Lambo too…well sort of.
