This Nissan R35 GT-R just set a new record at TX2K25 – making it the fastest R35 in the world – and the team behind the Nissan went big on the celebrations.
The R35 GT-R took to the race track at TX2K25 earlier this month.
While there, the Nissan set a new record, earning itself the title of fastest R35 in the world.
And, as you might imagine, the team behind the Nissan was absolutely stoked with the new record.

The Nissan R35 GT-R has got a lot of power under the hood
The R35 Nissan GT-R was launched back in 2007 and the car quickly became a hit with gearheads.
In 2009, it set a record as the fastest accelerating 4-seater production car.

Fast-forward a few years, and Nissan has called time on the R35 but the car is still breaking new ground.
At the TX2K25, this R35 GT-R dubbed Nightfury officially became the fastest R35 in the world.
The vehicle was created by drag racer George Dodworth and 1 Race Developments, and boasts an OEM steel chassis and beefed-up powertrain.
The all-wheel drive has a VR38 VG engine with 80mm Garrett twin turbochargers and a Nissan GR6 DCT which puts out more than 2,600WHP.
The car hit an impressive quarter mile time
Back in 2021, Nightfury set an R35 record after it managed a quarter-mile time of just 6.51 seconds at 230 mph.
At TX2K25 this month, Dodworth attempted to push his old record and on his first try hit a quarter-mile in 6.482 seconds at 232.35mph.
While this was already enough to claim a new record for himself and Nightfury, he decided to have another go and this time clocked a 6.40 second quarter mile traveling at a neck-snapping 234mph.
As you can imagine, the team behind the R35 was over the moon with the new record, and footage taken at the track showed their wild celebrations.
In a clip shared on YouTube, the team can be seen jumping around and screaming with joy as the time flashed up.
Congratulations, guys!
