The man who salvaged an abandoned Cadillac that once belonged to Snoop Dogg is trying to fix it as soon as possible.

The guy has already missed a self-imposed deadline to get the car finished, but to be fair that was impossible to meet.

And it’s not over yet.

Sam, owner of Hard Up Garage, is a lifelong fan of both this car and Snoop Dogg, so when he had the chance to buy it, he just went for it and bought it.

It’s a 1966 Cadillac Deville Convertible, but right after buying it, Sam immediately found a few issues with it.

The state of the Cadillac belonging to Snoop Dogg

Snoop Dogg drove this car on stage for the 2007 MTV Music Awards, and the car eventually ended up in London, the London Motor Museum to be exact, which is where Sam found it.

The exterior of the car was in pretty good condition, but the cabin was messy and dirty.

This probably explains why this car is no longer part of Snoop’s car collection.

The story has it that MTV wanted to do the entrance with a Mercedes, but Snoop Dogg said no.

At that point, the production team came up with an alternative befitting Snoop – and that was a Cadillac.

A race against time

Sam and his team were hoping to get the car ready by mid-July when the Olympics started.

You’ve probably seen Snoop Dogg at the Olympics, having the time of his life and doing a bit of everything.

He carried the torch ahead of the opening ceremony, and now he’s constantly filmed trying out new sports.

Unfortunately, that particular deadline, which to be fair was an impossible deadline, hasn’t been met.

So now Sam is hoping to have it fixed by the end of the Olympics.
