Supercar Blondie has done something truly special indeed.
Alex Hirschi – aka Supercar Blondie – is officially the source of all our envy.
The brains – and blonde – behind Supercar Blondie has just had the opportunity to experience something very, very special.
Because Supercar Blondie has just driven the Eleanor Mustang.

What on Earth is the Eleanor Mustang?
For those of you that don’t know, the Ford Mustang itself has always been a special car.
However, there is one that is above the rest – and her name is Eleanor.
In case you haven’t been introduced, Eleanor is a 1967 Ford Mustang GT500.
Finished in an iconic metallic grey with black racing stripes, the Eleanor Mustang is a true beauty.

The beauty is also on the inside.
A 5.8 liter, eight-cylinder Ford Racing engine, producing 400 of the finest American horsepower.
This power is channelled by Ford’s four-speed manual transmission.
It is also the star of the brilliant 2000 remake of the movie Gone in 60 Seconds.
In fact, it is still the only Ford Mustang to ever receive star title credits for a movie.
Supercar Blondie meets Eleanor
And now, Alex herself has had the chance to get acquainted with the silver screen star.
In the video, as seen above, Alex gives us a walk around of the car, before opening the trunk.
After crouching down to open said trunk, Alex reveals…a great big silver tank of Nitrous.
After activating the Nitrous with the (literal) flick of a switch, Alex launches off the line.

“Aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!” she screamed as she launched the car.
Admittedly, she doesn’t actually launch the car using Nitrous.
Alex points out that the Nitrous system can actually be activated, although one wonders if such a powerful car even needs it.
Activating Nitrous might make Eleanor disappear a lot sooner than in Sixty Seconds…
