She might have been booed and he might have lost, but Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have an epic car collection rivalry

This year’s Super Bowl represented a bad day for the Kansas City Chiefs, Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and, indirectly, Taylor Swift.

Swift was booed profusely when she appeared on the jumbotron at the Super Bowl, presumably because fans may have blamed her for Kelce’s performance during the game.

We’re sure that must’ve felt bad, but the celebrity couple can find solace in their combined net worth in excess of $1.6 billion although – to be fair -Taylor Swift’s net worth reportedly accounts for about 95 percent of that figure.

Still, they’ve clearly got money, and they clearly love spending it on cars.

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift have an incredible car collection

We’ll start with a side note, because we’re somehow surprised fans haven’t come up with a cute nickname for the couple, like they did for Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie (Brangelina) back in the days.

The Kelces/Swifts/Kelswifts (we’re open to suggestions) have a combined car collection that comprises, among other things, an Aston Martin Vanquish, several Rolls-Royces and a GMC Hummer.

Then there’s the Chevy Chevelle they were spotted in at the beginning of their relationship.

Interestingly, since they both love cars, they sometimes ‘compete’ and buy cars to show each other off.

We should probably also add Swift’s private jet to their collection, by the way, although apparently she now only owns one jet after selling her ‘backup’ one.

The Swift effect

Travis Kelce has been a tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs for over a decade but, as a celebrity, he used to be overshadowed by his teammate Patrick Mahomes.

It was nobody’s fault, really, but if there’s one thing MTV-era coming-of-age TV shows taught us is that the real star of any football team has to be the quarterback, and in the Kansas City Chiefs that’ll be Mahomes.

From Tom Brady to Mahomes, quarterbacks are usually the most famous and richest NFL stars.

However, that changed when Kelce began dating ultra-mega-star Taylor Swift in 2022.

Taylor Swift is extremely rich, especially for a popstar, but that’s because she’s a true money maker.

Her Eras tour broke records after selling 4.3 million tickets and grossing well over $2 billion.

According to Forbes, Swift has a net worth of $1.6 billion as of 2025.

Traditionally, the cameras at any sporting event tend to give a lot of screen time to the biggest, most bankable star present.

At this year’s and last year’s Super Bowl, clearly, there was a lot of attention of Mahomes, but even more attention for Kelce and Swift.

Unfortunately for them, unlike last year, it didn’t pay off.
