This Texan bought nine Chevy Corvettes in one go, and one of them turned out to be a real gem.

Dennis Collins, a YouTuber from the Lone Star State, makes a living buying and selling cars.

Over the years, he has undoubtedly made some amazing finds.

But to secure nine Corvettes in one day from one owner? That’s pretty exceptional.

Nine Chevy Corvettes in one day

When it comes to uncovering cars, barn finds can produce surprising results.

One barn find uncovered over 125 antique muscle cars, whilst another had hundreds of Mopars on standby.

But as you might expect from cars left gathering dust for years, the quality can vary wildly.

Fortunately for Dennis Collins, the Corvettes he found on a South Texas farm were in good shape.

It helped that the cars previous owner was a collector who took good care of each of his vehicles.

All but one of the Chevys were convertibles, with only the 1991 ZR1 having a solid-roof.

They came from across the generations, with some coming from the first generation (The C1s, produced in the 1950s) and some from the fourth generation (The C4s, made between the 1980s and 1990s).

They were in remarkable shape – you would almost have thought you’d walked into a pristine car museum rather than someone’s barn on a farm in Langrange, Texas.

Taking a closer look at this remarkable collection

Although the cars span decades, one era is represented particularly strongly among them.

That being the third generation, made in between 1968 and 1975.

Of the nine cars, six of them are from this period.

There’s not a dud among the lot, with each one looking perfectly preserved inside and out.

But if we had to choose a stand-out, it would be the 1991 C4 ZR1.

It was the newest car in the collection, but it’s creeping up to the point where it can be considered a ‘classic’ (40 years, for anyone keeping score at home).

The ZR1s are pretty rare, with as few as 448 being produced a year back in the 1990s.

Dennis commented: “This is Admiral Blue…they only made 44 of them.

“These were really sought after, but it cooled off over time. It was considered really big horsepower back then, but it was only 405hp.”

The Corvettes were loaded onto some trailers and taken away, and they gave Dennis and his crew very little trouble in the process.

To have found one great car was cool enough, but get nine of them?

That’s very good fortune.
