Student found untouched Lamborghini Countach and Ferrari 308 in grandma’s garage

Both of these cars were found by a Reddit user ‘eriegin’ in 2018, who posted images of the supercars.
In a rare barn find, a ‘broke’ US student found two iconic 1980s supercars in her grandma’s garage – an untouched Lamborghini Countach and a Ferrari 308.
The 1981 Lamborghini was covered in dust, but it could’ve been worth around half a million dollars in pristine condition.
The Ferrari 308 is not as rare but fetch a good price depending on its condition.
There was also a late 1930s MG T-Type convertible hidden in the background.
“My late Grandpa bought it for his exotic car rental business in 1989.
“But after insurance costs became too high for him to operate the company, he kept the car outside and in leaky garages for 20+ years instead of selling them,” she explained.
1972 Lincoln Continental in barn find after 35 years with surprise in trunk

A group of guys discovered a 1972 Lincoln Continental sitting in a barn for 35 years but it was in rough shape.
The car was covered in dust, with faded paint, rusted brakes, and a damaged radiator.
While the interior was in decent shape, the engine and fuel system needed major repairs.
However, when they opened the trunk they found something totally unexpected – a family of mice and an awful smell.
YouTube channel, Junkyard Digs, shared the whole story.
Incredible barn find car collection leaves car-lover unable to believe his eyes

A car-lover uncovered the barn find of a lifetime containing an entire car collection in London, UK.
The huge fleet had grown over many years and was worth tens of thousands of dollars.
The mystery owner decided to sell up in 2021 and enlisted the help of car enthusiast, Freddie Fison.
“Essentially it’s a local businessman’s private collection,” was all Fison told the MailOnline in 2021.
Gems included a 1960 MG MGA, a 1975 Mercedes 350SL, a 1971 Triumph Spitfire MK4, a 1973 Porsche 911, and a 1983 Mercedes 280SL.
There’s also a 1948 MG, a 1955 Morris Minor, and a vintage VW Camper from the 1970s.
Ultimate barn find man uncovered 1969 Plymouth GTX with $10,000 surprise inside

American YouTuber, Ryan Brutt, of Auto Archaeology came across a 1969 Plymouth GTX while examining a barn find.
It had been hidden away for years but he could never have predicted what he would find on the blue seats were covered in magazines – a cash haul of $10,000.
Brutt recalled: “What had occurred was the owner, over the last we don’t know who long, has been stashing envelopes full of about a thousand dollars underneath the front seat.”
Brutt is an honest man and returned the cash to the owner of the barn.
Three Pontiac-filled barns lead to heartwarming story

A muscle car enthusiast was called to a three-barn Pontiac collection in Kansas, US, after an elderly owner had collected 20 classic cars plus parts.
The story started about four years ago when Dave Hall from the Restore a Muscle Car YouTube channel was invited to look over a collection of more than 20 Pontiacs.
The collection included complete cars as well as various parts such as motors, wheels, tires, and more.
One particular highlight of the collection for the owner was his 1973 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am Super Duty which the family refused to part with.
Knowing that the owner’s health was declining, they reached out to a local mechanic to fix up the Trans Am so he could take it for one last spin before he passed away.
A few years later, and with the owner now having passed, the family decided to sell the remaining cars and contacted Dave to see if he was interested.
Dave was more than happy to snap it up meaning the Trans Am will be enjoyed for years to come.

All Supercar Blondie contributors undergo editorial review and fact-checking to ensure accuracy and authority in automotive journalism. After gaining her BA Hons in French and English at the University of Nottingham, Amelia embarked on a vocational diploma from the National Council for the Training of Journalists (NCTJ). This led to numerous opportunities, from interning at Vogue to being on the small team that launched Women’s Health magazine in the UK, which was named the PPA Consumer magazine of the year for three years running. As Health, Beauty and Fitness editor, Amelia personally received a Johnson & Johnson Award and was shortlisted for both PPA and BSME titles. Since then, Amelia has created content for numerous titles and brands, including the Telegraph, 111 Skin, Waitrose, Red magazine, Stylist, and Elle, as well as being Head of Content at Vitality and Editor in Chief at INLondon magazine. “My superpower is translating technical jargon about the mechanical workings of a supercar into a relatable story you’ll want to share with your friends after you’ve read it.” After joining the SB Media family as a senior journalist in September of 2023, Amelia’s role has evolved to see her heading up the SEO output of the editorial team. From researching the most ‘Google-able’ key terms to producing evergreen content - it’s been a time of hard work, growth, and success for the editorial team and the Supercar Blondie website. “I like to think of myself as a ‘method journalist’. In other words: I live and breathe whatever I am writing about. When writing about fitness, I trained as a personal trainer, and as a beauty editor, I completed an ‘expert’ in scent diploma with the Fragrance Foundation. “During my tenure at Supercar Blondie, however, I did something I never thought possible: I passed my driving test at the age of 36. One day I’d love to train as a mechanic to better understand what happens under the hood, too. “My sweet spot is providing readers with a ‘takeaway’ (read: something new they didn’t know before) after reading every one of my stories. While I don’t claim to be an expert in the automotive world, I know the experts and bodies in the field to rely on to provide our readers with an informative and thought-provoking story every time they visit the site.”
