Jay Leno explains why his $100M collection of nearly 200 cars will never include a single Ferrari

Jay Leno has a legendary collection of nearly 200 cars worth at least eight figures, and yet his collection doesn’t include a single Ferrari.
We can safely assume that he must’ve owned a Ferrari at some point, but he doesn’t have one now.
And he doesn’t want one, either.
And it has nothing to do with the cars per se.
Jay Leno’s car collection is stunning
Fun fact: Jay Leno has the most googled car collection in the world, and it’s worth around $100 million.
Amongst the almost 200 cars in his collection, you can find McLarens, Lamborghinis, vintage Duesenbergs, and even a jet-powered motorcycle.
He owns a 1995 McLaren F1 (along with a P1 and a W1), 1957 Mercedes-Benz 300SL, and a 1934 Duesenberg Walker Coupe.
Leno also has a one-off supercar he built with GM, and an ultra-rare Chrysler turbine vehicle.
However, you’ll never find a Ferrari.
And there’s a reason for that.
Jay Leno doesn’t have a problem with the cars themselves, just with the brand
On more than one occasion, Leno has been quoted saying he doesn’t have a problem with Ferraris, just with Ferrari – as in the brand and the dealers.
Put simply, the late-night show host has said he doesn’t like the way that the supercar company treats its customers.
“I just never liked dealing with the dealers,” he’s said on more than one occasion.
“There’s a certain elite feeling to it. I never really liked it.”
He also gave an example of the exact opposite, recounting an anecdote about McLaren.
“When I bought my McLaren, they said, ‘You gonna track it?’ I said, ‘No’.
‘Save 20 grand, you don’t need ’em. These are just as good’. I felt like a customer,” he told the host of the Road to Success podcast.
