These billionaires are crafting their own futuristic cities behind the scenes.

From Texas to Hawaii, their cash has been spent seemingly wisely.

But what concepts do each of them follow?

We bet you haven’t heard of half of these cities, but they will be big news very soon.

It’s no secret that billionaires have big plans, from investing in companies to splashing on cars.

But when you’ve got all that cash to play with – it’s no wonder, really.

In fact, one Saudi billionaire installed a daybed on his $320 million superyacht that transforms into a 158-inch waterproof LED screen.

Not forgetting the Indian billionaire CEO who added a Lamborghini Huracán Sterrato to his already impressive supercar collection.

But the talk of the town these days are cities.

These billionaires are building futuristic concepts that boast a lot of surprises

The first cities up are Telosa and Seasteading

Telosa is a ‘utopian’ concept that has been developed by Marc Lore.

The entrepreneur’s city is tech-driven and set for a 2050 debut in the US desert – so, only another 25 years to wait.

But, it’s promising a more ‘equitable and sustainable future’ – so it could be one to watch.

Seasteading is an interesting one, we’re sure you’ll agree.

It’s a floating city that is almost like homesteading but only on water and with governments – the key is in the name.

It’s also set to be sustainable too, setting up for the future which – let’s face it – could involve a fair bit more building on water.

Impressed so far? There’s still much more to come.

Next to explore is Belmont and and Lanai

Bill Gates’ Belmont is a bit closer to home.

His city is proposed to land near Phoenix and it’s got some big promises.

It’s set to be renewable and high tech, with self-driving vehicles coming as standard – we’d expect nothing less from the Microsoft mogul.

So, Tesla fans, you’re in luck here as autonomous vehicles will be buzzing around left, right and center.

Lanai though, is a bit more of a treat

The ‘city’ of Lanai is actually an island in Hawaii to escape the trials and tribulations of everyday life focusing on wellness, all funded by Larry Ellison.

Picture it now – sipping coconuts and catching a tan.

Sun, sea, and paradise? Maybe – but it might cost you a fair bit.

We can’t forget Mustang

Yes, that’s a place – not a car.

Unusual right? But there’s a wholesome story behind the purchase.

Billionaire Mark Cuban bought the place in Texas for just $2million and there’s a heartfelt reason as to why.

One of his friends was seriously ill and need to sell his property.

So, as a kind gesture he bought it to help him out – a rare occasion of money being the root cause of a kind of happiness.

All these cities carry big promises – but will they deliver?

Only time will tell.

But what do you think? Do any of these concepts tickle your fancy?
