In an amazing tug-of-war game, a Volkswagen Touareg and a Chevrolet Duramax Bumper Pull went head-to-head.

And not long after, the winner was clear.

The Volkswagen Touareg took the win, pulling the Chevrolet pickup towards itself in no time.

Volkswagen and Chevrolet in a tug-of-war battle

The video, uploaded on the official YouTube channel of fastgolfr32 back in 2012, shows that Volkswagen didn’t just win the battle but was a little too harsh on the Chevy.

During the tug-of-war competition, the Chevy experienced significant strain, causing it to hop and lift its front end off the ground.

This caused all the tie rods in its front suspension to break, making the front wheels turn inward.

With the front-wheel-drive disabled, the Chevy effectively became a rear-wheel-drive vehicle.

This mechanical failure was the main reason for Chevy’s defeat to Volkswagen.

Tug-of-war contests between vehicles are always thrilling to watch, just like this one between the VW Touareg and Chevy Duramax Bumper Pull.

Or the one we saw between the G-Wagon and Ford Bronco, for that matter.

Touareg steals the game

Initially, it seemed like the Chevy had the upper hand.

As the battle started, the Chevy even gained an early lead, pulling the VW a few inches.

However, the Touareg quickly turned the game in its favor, securing a clear win.

The Touareg, known for its immense power, also outperformed the Jeep Wrangler in a similar contest.

Despite the Wrangler’s reputation for power and ruggedness, the VW proved why it’s the leader in the automotive industry.

Although, Chevrolet Duramax Bumper Pull has higher power and torque, it still couldn’t win against Volkswagen Touareg.

If the vehicle’s front suspension wouldn’t have failed, the outcome might have been different.
