Hip Hop mogul Dr Dre is selling his beachfront mansion in Malibu for $20 million.

It’s a beautiful home, not to mention a great investment

The rap legend originally bought the SoCal home for ‘just’ $4.8 million.

The home is located on Malibu’s famed Carbon Beach – also known as ‘Billionaires Beach’.

The property offers nearly 9,000 sq ft of usable space and it has six bedrooms and seven bathrooms.

It also has all the features you’d expect from a celebrity home.

Multiple walk-in closets? Check.

Private sauna and jacuzzi? Check.

Obviously, the mansion also has its own fully equipped recording studio.

The primary suite is the real cherry on top of the cake here.

It occupies the entire third level.

It features an open space comprising a bedroom, a living room with a fireplace and a terrace overlooking the ocean.

The Malibu mansion was originally built in the 1990s and it was purchased by Dr Dre in 2000.

It’s gorgeous, and it’s certainly worthy of some ‘California Love‘.

About Dr Dre

Born and raised in California, Dr Dre changed the face of rap music in the 1990s and 2000s.

He created his own sub-genre ‘West Coast G Funk’, combining the use of synthesizers with gangsta rap lyrics.

He also worked alongside rap legends like Snoop Dogg, Tupac Shakur and NWA – both as a rapper and as a producer.

Crucially, he also discovered Eminem.

Dr Dre is widely regarded as ‘Hip Hop’s first billionaire’ but he actually made most of his money with Beats by Dre, his own brand of headphones.

In may 2014, Apple purchased the Beats brand for $3.4 billion.
