Drake is celebrating the release of his new single Meltdown (ft. Travis Scott) with an interesting purchase.
The 36-year-old rapper bought a diamond ring that once belonged to rap legend Tupac Shakur.

A few days ago, auction house Sotheby’s finalized the sale of the ring in question.
Made from gold and adorned with diamonds and pink rubies, the ring was worn by Tupac Shakur in his last public appearance.
He wore it at the 1996 MTV Video Music Awards, less than two weeks before his death.

Now, Sotheby’s didn’t disclose the identity of the buyer BUT literally hours after the sale, Drake shared an Instagram story with the ring.
And then two days later, Drake shared yet another Instagram story with the same ring.
And this time he was actually wearing it.
On the same day, Drake was interview for an episode of Sidetalk NYC.
“I’m wearing ‘Pac’s ring,” he said.

So, how much did the Canadian rapper spend?
Anything Tupac-related is extremely valuable and that’s why Sotheby’s gave it a pre-auction estimate of $300,000.
But expectations were shattered because the ring ended up selling for $1,016,000.
Seven figures for a ring is a lot of cash, but then again with a net worth of $250 million, Drake can easily afford it.
Most rappers flaunt their wealth but Drake is a bit different when it comes to that.
Obviously he owns a jet, expensive watches and so on, but the ‘Headlines’ rapper allocated most of his resources to… his house.
The rapper spent a significant chunk of cash to build his dream house in his hometown Toronto.
What’s even crazier is Drake dropped $400,000 (!) on a custom made mattress for his bed.
Talk about a weird flex.
