Drake’s mattress cost more than most homes.

Yep, you read that right.

The Canadian rapper basically sleeps on a bed of gold in his Toronto home.

The Hotline Bling rapper dropped a cool $400,000 on his mattress, which is more than the cost of your average house in the USA.

The bed was designed and made by a Swedish company called Hastens and it’s referred to as the ‘Birkin bag of beds’.

The Hermes Birkin handbag is arguably the most expensive, exclusive designer handbag in the world, so the name fits.

So, why does this mattress cost so much?

Well, it’s not packed with cash or gold (although it might be now that drake owns it).

This mattress was made by a team of four people and they spent over 600 hours crafting it to perfection.

They make it with only natural materials, including horsetail hair because it’s ‘springy’.

The fact this mattress is made in Sweden is no surprise.

Swedes consider their mattress the most important piece of furniture they’ll ever buy, and as such, consider them an investment.

And with a reported net worth of $250 million, Drake likely didn’t have a budget when he went on the search for a new bed.

Drake’s no stranger to absurd extravagance either.

The One Dance singer splashed $2 million on a pair of solid gold Jordans in January this year.

It’s a mind-boggling amount of cash to splash on a pair of sneakers – especially a pair that you can’t actually wear.

These shoes aren’t just gold plated either, they’re made from actual 24-carat solid gold.

But given the price of gold skyrocketed earlier this year, the sneakers might not actually be that bad an investment for the superstar.
