Billionaire unveils mouth-watering plans to build $400,000,000,000 US megacity

A billionaire is building a metropolis called Telosa in the middle of the desert.

With sky trains, self-driving cars and futuristic-looking skyscrapers, this place looks like a sci-fi movie.

But the plans are real and in the works.

The city is expected to have a population of 50,000 in the next six years.

As the effects of climate change ravage the world, people are looking for solutions.

Elon Musk, for example, has decided that moving to Mars would be a more viable plan than fixing Earth.

But one billionaire isn’t ready to give up on our planet just yet.

Marc Lore is an entrepreneur and former Walmart executive.

He’s been described as the LeBron James of e-commerce and one of the ‘smartest people in technology’ by Fortune.

So if anyone is going to start a city from scratch, he seems up to the job.

Telosa will be built somewhere in the South West region of America.

This is outrageously ambitious considering this area is a massive desert.

Lore plans to transform what is considered a ‘worthless’ piece of land into a thriving city.

Telosa will have 36 districts, where everything residents could need will be just a 15-minute walk away.

For travelling further out there is the city’s public transport system, a solar-powered sky train and what appear to be flying cars.

No fossil-fuel vehicles are allowed and only be slow-moving autonomous cars and bicycles on the roads.

In the heart of Telosa is a huge skyscraper, which will provide solar power and water to the city.

The project aims to make a completely sustainable city, with all produce grown on-site.

Every resident will have a stake in the land, using an economic system that was invented specifically for the megacity called ‘equitism’.

The first phase will build up 1,500 acres for 50,000 residents and cost $25 billion, but Lore said the total costs will amount to $400 billion.

One of the biggest costs will be finding a water source in the desert.

The billionaire will fund a lot of the project himself and hopes to have the help of investors and the government too.

If all goes to plan, the city will be populated with 50,000 people by 2030 but the goal is to have 5 million people, the same size as Chicago.

Lore envisions a circular economy, a green and walkable city, and happy residents who are proud to be from Telosa.

Anyone is welcome to move to his utopia.

You just need to care about the environment, be community-minded, and be happy to give up your regular car.
