Cybertrucks parked side-by-side show crazy ride height difference with air suspension

The Cybertruck was spotted testing in the desert and people are going crazy because this particular prototype is fitted with air suspension.

We’ve seen prototypes both with and without the air suspension, and the difference is remarkable.

We are not just talking about technical differences but also visual ones.

Videomaker Jeff Roberts took to X to share drone footage and images of two Cybertrucks parked at Tesla’s Gigafactory Texas.

These two Cybertrucks are identical, except for the fact that only one of them is on air suspension.

Even with a bird’s-eye view, the height difference is pronounced.

It’s unclear whether the raised air suspension will be offered as an optional extra on all models, or whether it’ll be reserved for a special version.

Then again, there’s still a lot we don’t know about the truck.

Based on some of the videos and pictures that surfaced in recent months, it appears the the final production version will ditch the yoke in favor of a normal steering wheel.

Also, Tesla is thinking about getting rid of a three-seat bench layout at the front, most likely due to safety reasons.

The Cybertruck was announced four years ago and production is at least two years late at this point.

Having said that, buyers don’t seem to be discouraged by the production delay, maybe because Tesla keeps (accidentally?) teasing interesting features.

Just a couple of weeks ago, somebody posted a video of the truck seamlessly towing a massive trailer and before that we saw how easily the Cybertruck could make a U-turn.

Leaked footage also revealed the vehicle’s seemingly ginormous frunk.

From a technical standpoint, we know it’ll be available as a single-, dual- or tri-motor truck.

And in spite of its size, the Cybertruck still offers sports car-like performance with a 0-60 mph (100 km/h) time of around six seconds.

Meanwhile in terms of range, which let’s face it is what truly matters when it comes to EVs, Elon Musk promises 500 miles (800 km) or more on a charge.

We’ll find out soon enough… hopefully.
