Huawei’s new MAEXTRO S800 to rival Rolls-Royce received 2,000 pre-orders in two days after launch

Proof that size really does matter, the Huawei MAEXTRO S800 is an electric sedan that looks set to rival Rolls-Royce with pre-orders looking healthy.
In fact, the brand received 2,108 pre-orders within 48 hours of its November 26, 2024 launch (at the time of writing).
Their flagship sedan is said to be bigger than 99.99 percent of cars in China.
However, despite investment, details about the tech giant’s EV are still few and far between.

The Huawei MAEXTRO S800
Looking like a mash-up of a Maybach, a Rolls-Royce, and a Porsche, the electric sedan is said to be bigger than 99.99 percent of cars in China.
The new MAEXTRO brand is a co-development between Huawei and Chinese automaker JAC – adding to the electric sedan movement as the Lucid Air Sapphire smashed the quarter-mile record back in May.
Their debut EV is set to be the brand’s luxury flagship vehicle with its oversized dimensions, a unique and intricated front LED lighting design, and star-patterned door handles.
However, we can see borrowed influences like Rolls-Royce-inspired disc wheels, a chrome-accented lower bumper intake that feels like a Bentley, and a bi-tone exterior treatment that whispers Maybach.
Its hunched rear profile could well be that of a Porsche Panamera at a glance.
Details on the interiors and features are sadly limited at the moment.
But, despite the information that we have on the quality materials used and high-tech features – it’s hitting the market at a fraction of the price of its European counterparts.
Pre-orders are also oversized
Let’s talk numbers.
The vehicle’s pre-sale success generated over 40 million yuan – translating to $5.5 million from required deposits.
The market demand highlights consumer trust in Huawei’s automotive innovations and premium offerings.
Rolls-Royce has also shaken things up to boost sales this year, targeting luxury airshows for millionaire window shoppers.
