What does this yacht remind you of?

If Kanye West’s Yeezys came to mind, you’re not alone.

There are stark similarities between the latest Yeezys and this concept yacht, which begs the question: did Kanye use this as his inspiration for the Foam Runner sneakers?

This futuristic-looking vessel was designed by German shipbuilder Blohm+Voss together with Zaha Hadid Architects.

It has an exoskeleton-like structure that looks like it was carved from a single block of metal.

The Kanye West yacht features intricate patterns and apertures, just like the shoe.

In addition to the 128-meter (419-foot) vessel, the same exact design was used to create slightly smaller prototypes too.

The superyacht is powered by four diesel engines and has a top speed of 16 knots, equivalent to around 18 mph.

With a range of 5,000 nautical miles (5,700 miles), you can theoretically travel from Cape Verde to Italy without having to refuel.

And the price?

Well, unfortunately this is just a prototype so it’s not for sale at the moment.

But based on its technical properties and size, it would be at least $500 million.

About the Yeezy Foam Runner

The Foam Runner is the latest model that Adidas launched under its standalone division Yeezy.

Adidas and Kanye West came up with the Yeezy brand in 2015 and over the past seven years, the brand has absolutely exploded.

It has a huge cult following and sneaker collectors go crazy over the shoes.

The sneakers are generally not that expensive, but they’re always sold out in hours, if not minutes.

That means that sneakerheads are more than willing to spend exorbitant amounts of cash in the pre-owned market.

Pricing for the Foam Runner model starts at $90, but they often go for hundreds of dollars due to the incredibly high demand.
