This man drove a Tesla Model Y for 50,000 miles across the US and broke down his Supercharger savings.

Even though EVs are all the rage, maintenance costs can sometimes be high.

So, to share some insight, one Model Y owner broke down how much it cost to charge his EV at Superchargers whilst traveling across the US.

Contrary to what you might believe, it was surprisingly cheap

When you think of an EV, Tesla springs to mind

With its fleet of Cybertrucks, the Roadster that traveled into space, and the Model S, Tesla cars are instantly recognizable.

Tesla has even topped the list of ‘most American cars’ on the market today – which is no surprise.

Plus, one car expert showed the things you need to look out for when buying a used Tesla, even if they look great.

Sometimes, though, charging can be expensive with rising electricity costs all over the globe.

This Model Y owner broke down just how much the cost of charging actually was on a 50,000 mile trip.

He traveled across the country in the EV

YouTuber Gjeebs revealed that after traveling an amazing 50,000 miles in his Tesla, the costs of charging weren’t all that bad after all.

Gas is obviously a major expense when owning a car, so was the outcome worth the switch to an EV?

How does it all add up?

Compared to gas, the Model Y owner saved by half

After going to 206 separate Superchargers, the cost of his charging turned out to be a mere $2384.

The YouTuber worked it all out by averages, including the amount of energy used and the cost of charging.

But after calculating it, he came to the outcome of just over $2,000.

Not bad, right?

How fast is a Supercharger?

Tesla’s Supercharger network is known worldwide for its quick technology.

Other brands – including Ford – even create equipment to work in harmony with the recharging stations.

According to Tesla, they can supply 200 miles of range in 15 minutes.

“Since charging above 80 percent is rarely necessary, stops are typically short and convenient,” it noted.

Has this persuaded you to jump on the Tesla bandwagon?

With cheap prices like that, you might just be swayed.
