The Miami Beach Police Department is traveling in style using a Rolls-Royce Ghost as a cop car.
Instead of the usual Dodge Chargers, they are swapping tradition for style with the crowning member of the fleet.
After worries that the car was being paid for by a lot of hard-earned tax dollars, the truth about its origins has been revealed.
The car is not only good-looking and good for busting criminals, it also serves another purpose as well.

Why a Miami Beach Police Department Rolls-Royce Ghost?
If you’re up to nefarious activity in Miami Beach you can probably expect to have a run in with the law, but in the case of this particular cop car, busting criminals has never been more stylish.
A viral Rolls-Royce Ghost has been making the rounds online because it’s a real life cop car.
It looks just like a traditional black and white Miami Beach Police Department car but is an ultra-luxury sedan.
It has been sparking minor controversy as the public worried it was bought with their hard-earned tax dollars.
But the luxury sedan was a gift from a local luxury car dealer called Braman Miami.
Not only was the car itself a gift, but the wrap, lights and gas were all included.
What’s the point?
It seems a bit random that an active police department needs such a nice luxury car, but it is being used for another important reason.
The car is meant to be a cool incentive to encourage people to join the police and it’s also a great photo op, that’s why on the back of the car there’s a call to action getting people to sign up.
A law enforcement vehicle will always have an American flag on the car’s C-pillar and a reminder to call 911 in an emergency and this car does, it’s just a bit fancier than the others.
