It sometimes feels like Rockstar Games may have been ‘forced’ to release the trailer to GTA 6 ahead of time to quell rumors and speculation.

We’ve seen a trailer but we have not, unfortunately, been given a release date.

But there’s a report suggesting it may be sooner rather than later.

The trailer dropped in late 2023, breaking a YouTube world record in the process.

Even though everyone knows 2025 is the date to pin on our calendar, no release date was provided.

However, the parent company of Rockstar, Take-Two, provided a crucial bit of information in a financial report.

And eagle-eyed fans think that’s a hint for the release date.

According to the financial report in question, Take-Two expects to bring in a whopping $8 billion in revenue in fiscal year 2025, which ends on March 31.

By power of deduction, everyone is now assuming that GTA 6 is going to be released earlier than that, simply because GTA 6 is probably the only video game title that can perform that well.

This reflects something Take-Two Interactive CEO, Strauss Zelnick, said in an interview a while back.

Speculation and rumors aside, the only thing we know for sure is this game will change the game, pun intended.

The hype is off the charts and if the trailer is anything to go by, it’ll be by far the most technically avant-garde open-world game so far.
