The idea of a cramped and small motorhome is the thing of the the past, especially if this new model from Qixing RV is anything to go by.

The Qixing RV is the altest 2024 model from the Chinese brand, and it boasts a sky lounge and outside terrace, and can sleep up to six people.

Retailing for up to $158,000, the caravan-style home is more than just somewhere to rest your head.

Only available in China, this RV has a 2.3T diesel engine and has a maximum power of 128KW/3500rpm.

Yet it’s not the engine specs that make this such a special motorhome – it’s the interiors.

Luxury motorhome living

A motorhome like this brings a whole new style to living on the road. Forget squishing up in a sleeping bag, running out of storage, or being on top of each other on a road trip – this offers space and room whilst you travel.

There are plenty of flashy high-end motorhomes and RVs on the market – such as the Dembell RV that’s basically a palace on wheels; this one that has its own garage attached to the back; or this stunning motorhome that comes with its own roof terrace.

Yet the Qixing RV is not just a family caravan, it has a luxury lounge and two storeys marking it as something different.

Once parked, the motorhome expands and slides out. This allows for a raised master bedroom with a king-size mattress at the back of the ground floor, with additional sleeping space for guests upstairs on the upper storey.

Next to the driving cab is an exposed part of the upper deck which is a described as a ‘romantic terrace’.

If you’re in sunny weather, then you can pull curtains around for shade or privacy, or leave it open to enjoy the open air.

It’s also the perfect spot for dining outside, or you can eat inside, where the small dining area can be turned into a bed at night.

As it’s a motorhome, the food prep area is still small and the bathroom is functional rather than being roomy. Upstairs also features extra space for sleeping as well as safety railings and allowing for some extra living space whilst travelling.

Weirdly the online description via the Qixing website also describes the RV’s terrace as a ‘fish-spa pool’.

We’re not entirely sure how that works, so we might need to record that as an error unless you’re planning on taking this motorhome for a swim.

The Qixing RV specifications

The Qixing RV model has a 2.3T diesel engine and has a maximum power of 128KW/ 3500 rpm, seeing it reach speeds of 156 km per hour. It’s also got plenty of space and is one of the larger RVs you’d find on the road.

Looking at size and weight, the motorhome is almost six metres in length measuring 595 cm (234 inches) long, 245 cm (96.5 inches) wide, and 309 cm (121.6 inches) tall.

The vehicle’s gross weight is hefty at 5,250 kg (11,574 lbs), but when you’re carrying two floors, a lounge and terrace as well as your usual caravan essentials it’s not likely to be light as a feather.

Setting you back up to $158,000, this RV does come with one snag – it’s only available in China.

Anyone fancy a road trip to bring it back?
