This Chevrolet is so rare that it’s actually unrecognizable as it’s emerged from hiding.

Chevrolet is known for producing some classic American cars but also some groundbreaking new EVs.

This snap-up though, is a time capsule.

Just wait until you see what year it was rolled out.

It’s no secret that Chevrolets are muscle cars of the past

The Camaro, the Chevelle, and the El Camino are just three of the incredible muscle cars produced by Chevy.

Many are considered classic these days.

In fact, as seen in the video above, restored footage from 1930s America shows classic cars that would go for millions today – interesting, right?

Plus, Chevrolet even created an innovative steering wheel called the Spinner Wheel in the 1940s and it’s cooler than anything since.

But just wait until you see this rare Chevrolet.

Chevrolet and it’s cars is a tale as old as time

According to General Motors, the brand was launched in November 1911 by William C. Durant.

But that was just the beginning of the story.

“On May 2, 1918, General Motors acquired Chevrolet Motor Company, and in 2021, the iconic brand is celebrating its 110th anniversary,” the official website states.

That’s a long time to be making cars.

Enter this 1971 Chevrolet Greenbrier

This car is so rare that you’ve probably never actually seen one.

The Greenbrier first came to light in 1961 but only stayed on the production line for just four years.

Now, years later, one of the rare vehicles has appeared on eBay.

It was being sold by Western Classics, and it seems that it really was an ancient relic.

Described as a ‘perfect one to restore or customize,’ there were supposedly only 6,128 of them built.

It had been locally owned in California

The Chevrolet Greenbrier lived in the same state its entire life, and comes equipped with the factory 5.7-liter 350 V8 engine.

Plus, despite the car being over 50 years old, it still actually runs, and just needs ‘ignition repair inside the column.’

There is a catch, though – the original color has been painted over.

According to the listing, it was originally a ‘Placer Gold’ exterior shell but was ‘resprayed Ascot Blue a very long time ago.’

Inside had a story, too

The Greenbrier even came with ‘original black vinyl interior’ and could fit six people inside.

The manual and CA license plates are also included, alongside the Delco AM radio and factory dash clock- although as expected, it looks like it had seen better days.

It sure would make a great fixer upper for someone up for the challenge, as rust has taken over some parts of the inside and outer shell.

Considering it’s so rare, an avid gearhead sure would think that they hit the jackpot if they landed on a good deal with this bad boy.

Would you fancy snapping it up?
