A petrolhead bought a Chevy Corvette and Dodge crossover, and it’s utterly bizarre.

The car cost $6,000 and is a real Frankenstein’s Monster of a vehicle.

It features elements from both cars, despite lacking the real quality of both.

So, what on earth is this Dodge Vette like?

Customized at home but then flogged on Facebook Marketplace

This – let’s generously call it – creation was listed on Facebook Marketplace for the small sum of $6,000, although the listing has since disappeared.

Does that mean someone bought it or someone decided not to sell it?

It consists of a 2000 Chevy Corvette body with a rear fascia of a Dodge Challenger – quite the combo, right?

Separately the cars have some impressive features – but together in on the same set of wheels could raise some eyebrows.

According to Motorious: “In the listing, the former owner says he was ‘hemi swapping it’.

Elements of a Chevy and a Dodge make it quite the looker

The back of this marvellous beast had Challenger taillights and even the Dodge badge adorning it.

The most powerful Dodge Challenger is the SRT Demon – a 6.2 HEMI V8 variant – and this is a far cry from that.

It conjures up a whopping 808 horsepower – one for the music nerds out there.

Plus, it offers 972Nm of torque, which is not bad at all.

The Chevy Corvette really is a force to be reckoned with though.

The 2000 Corvette had three suspension choices, a strong structure to hold its power and flashy high tech wheels to take to the highways with too.

The passion project looked as if it had been abandoned, with Car Scoops reporting that the sale included: “The radiator, headlights, alternator, bracket, and automatic gearbox”.

But, it also warned that the ‘customized 5.7-liter V8 with a BTR Stage 4 kit has suffered a spun bearing’.

The exterior looked interesting, but equally seemed like many an hour of hard labour would be needed to make it ship shape and ready to hit high speeds.

Despite this and the slightly odd structure the car was seemingly snapped up for $6,000, despite the fact that the owner may need to replace the engines and put their own spin on the mashup.

Who knows, maybe even further modification and a new engine will make it unlike any other vehicle gracing the road?

Dallas residents – keep your eyes peeled for a seriously interesting car rolling round the city.

Unique doesn’t quite do it justice.
