Say hello to the supercharged Hennessey H700 Corvette

Hennessey Performance has just revealed the new supercharged Hennessey H700 Corvette.

The Texan tuning firm clearly wasn’t satisfied with the stock C8 Stingray, so it’s given it a series of performance upgrades.

The H700 now packs a punch strong enough to take down Chevy’s flagship Z06.

The new supercharged Hennessey H700 Corvette C8 Stingray has been fitted with a muscular blower upping power and torque levels.

Hennessey’s engineering team has also fitted a high-flow centrifugal supercharger, an air induction system with an air-to-water intercooler, and an optional enhanced cat-back exhaust.

Completed with updated high-performance engine software, the H700 boasts 708bhp and 638 lb-ft of torque.

That’s a 44 percent increase in horsepower and a 37 percent increase in torque over the factory rating.

In terms of power output, the supercharged H700 Corvette C8 Stingray outshines even Chevy’s flagship Z06.

That particular model’s naturally-aspirated 5.5-liter LT6 flat-plate crank V8 engine produces 670bhp and 460 lb-ft.

“The stock C8 Corvette Stingray is an extraordinary sports car, yet Chevrolet left some V8 performance on the table,” Founder and CEO John Hennessey said.

“Our exciting H700 supercharger package integrates seamlessly with the eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox, and our exhaust upgrade sounds much more aggressive than stock,” he said.

The complete upgrade package includes the supercharger, intercooler, engine tune, lightweight wheels, cat-back exhaust, and graphics.

There’s a choice of 19-inch or 20-inch alloys with a brushed aluminum, satin black, or graphite finish.

Then there’s the Hennessey Heritage Livery, which is offered in blue, white, black, silver, or red.

The full upgrade package is priced at $49,950.

But if you don’t want or need the fancy bits, there’s a power-only option (supercharger upgrade and warranty) for $34,950.

All packages feature ‘Hennessey’ and ‘H700’ badging and a serial numbered plaque.

What’s more, the Hennessey ‘H700’ Corvette upgrade fits all 2020-2022 Chevrolet C8 Corvette Coupe models.
