The unique family story behind his dream car
American YouTuber Bill – more commonly known online as Project Billd – has had a dream ever since he was a little boy, and that was to become the proud owner of a Jeep.
The YouTuber loves them for many reasons, such as their WWII history, off-road capabilities, and customization options, but he has an even more wholesome reason for loving these iconic cars.
In 1974, Bill’s father bought a brand-new CJ5, which he rolled and totaled after hitting an oil slick, but still told stories of his adventures in it.
Bill’s brother also shared a love for Jeeps and purchased a 1978 CJ5 in 2015, the two brothers worked on restoring the car together as it was in a poor condition.
On a trip to Moab, Utah, he also went on an off-roading tour in a Jeep and it reminded the YouTuber how much he loves them, so he decided to purchase his own one.
Introducing Bill’s new Jeep
Bill finally gave in to the pressure of nostalgia and his deep love for the brand and purchased his own retro 2004 Jeep Rubicon TJ.
Although it was well-maintained and only had 64,000 miles, the YouTuber still set about fixing it to make it slightly more modern.
He added Android Auto, CarPlay and a better sound by upgrading the speakers and adding fiber stuffing for better acoustics.
Finally there is an off-roader in the family again, and Bill couldn’t be happier with his new Jeep, we wish him miles of smiles in his new ride.
