These guys crossed a Bugatti Chiron and a Gaz 21 Volga to create a Volgatti

The guys from the Axes Garage Channel crossed a Bugatti Chiron with a Gaz 21 Volga and the result is absolutely outstanding.

The idea was mad to begin with, but the execution is actually amazing.

Built in the Soviet Union between the 1950s and 1970s, the GAZ-21 Volga is about as far away as you can get from a Bugatti Chiron.

Apart from the fact they have doors and wheels, there’s nothing they have in common.

Despite having a 2.5-liter engine under the hood, the Volga was hilariously underpowered, putting out just around 80 horsepower.

‘Underpowered’ is a word you definitely wouldn’t use when describing a Bugatti.

Still, they decided to create a weird mutant combining the style of a Bugatti Chiron and a Volga and amazingly, it worked.

What makes it even crazier is this car is based on a BMW 3-Series.

The 3-Series clearly lends itself well to crazy projects, since it also happens to be the same car that a group of engineers used to create a real-life transformer.

Now, they did use a Volga for the build but, for obvious reasons, they couldn’t use a ‘real’ Bugatti.

So that means that the half of the car that’s supposed to look like a Bugatti, which it does, had to be built by hand.

And they did a great job because it looks tremendous.

And the best part is the vibe it gives off.

For whatever reason, this ‘Volgatti’ mutt inspired by a French hypercar and a Soviet city car built using a German sedan as a platform kind of looks like… an American muscle car from the 1950s.

They call it the ‘Volgatti’.
