Elon Musk has been fighting tooth and nail to attract top influencer talent to X since he took over the platform.
Despite his best efforts – and knock-backs from the likes of MrBeast – he’s no further forward.
It appears he might’ve turned a corner now, though.

MrBeast’s main source of income comes from YouTube, but he’s also active on other platforms, including X, where he recently received a strange ‘offer’ from Elon Musk.
To cut a long story short, MrBeast rejected the offer, and now Elon Musk has made an announcement about a revamp for X.
Musk said online creators would soon be paid more for posting on X.
Musk made the announcement earlier this week and, although he didn’t mention MrBeast, he addressed that issue and might’ve had the creator in mind.
“Creator rewards will increase significantly this year,” Musk wrote in response to DogeDesigner, a graphic designer and X user.
Musk went on to say that 80,000 creators had been paid through the platform’s ad-revenue-sharing program since it launched less than a year ago.
Elon Musk has been trying to attract top influencer talent to X for some time and has had MrBeast in his sights for over a year.
In an exchange between the pair in October 2022, Musk promised “higher compensation for creators” than on YouTube, but MrBeast was skeptical.
And MrBeast isn’t the only creator who’s doubted that X can compete with YouTube regarding earnings.
In August, Olajide Olatunji, aka KSI, told his fellow YouTuber Logan Paul on his podcast, ‘Impaulsive‘, that he didn’t think X “paid that much.”
According to KSI, he’s made only $1,590 from the partnership program that month, despite garnering hundreds of millions of impressions.
“There are going to be people who are like, ‘You got $1,500 from Twitter?’ Which is cool,” Paul said.
“But comparatively, is what we’re saying, to other platforms, for hundreds of millions on YouTube, that’s hundreds of thousands of dollars,” he added.
In other news, MrBeast has responded to the question of whether he’s a billionaire yet – and his answer may surprise you.
