The Ford F-150 Raptor is easily one of the most capable pickup trucks out there, but let’s be honest here — most of its owners never even come close to using the truck at its full potential.

But this video showed just how capable the Raptor really is as it performed a hill climb without breaking a sweat.

Although an F-150 Raptor might be someone’s everyday ride, it’s still a 4×4 — and a very good one, to say the least.

In line with that, it’s also massive and can conquer rough terrain like it’s absolutely nothing.

Ford F-150 Raptor climbs a hill effortlessly

The video, which was uploaded on YouTube by a channel called turbbraptorchannel, showed a 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor climbing a hill.

Now, before you say it doesn’t seem like a hill — it actually was, but you can’t really make out the difference on camera.

So, what’s so special about a 4×4 climbing a hill?

In simple terms, the truck made it look easy.

There was absolutely no wheelspin, and there wasn’t any excessive engine throttle to be heard.

It’s not that other 4×4 vehicles can’t do it easily, but you would hear some wheelspin and throttle while they make a steep climb.

That is unless they are being driven by a professional.

If it were to participate in an all-Raptor hill climb race, the race would be called the Chill Climb Race.

It’s not the same as driving in the suburbs

Moreover, climbing a hill requires extremely specific skills, and unlike what most commercials and movies show, it’s not all fun and games.

You need to know what you’re doing, and one slip of the steering wheel could be troublesome.

Hence, this F-150 Raptor stands out, and if you’re an off-road enthusiast, it’s a treat to watch.

The 2017 model used to come with a 3.5-liter turbocharged V6 engine that sent out 450 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque.

While the latest 2024 variant comes with a larger V8 engine, that doesn’t mean the 2017 model lacks.

The F-150 Raptor series is simply built for rough terrains, and that makes it quite valuable.

Valuable enough for thieves to steal some from Ford’s Michigan factory.
