A man from India has made a DIY electric mini Jeep, which is the coolest homemade project we have seen in a while.

The mini Jeep was made by Shakir, a resident of Kerala, a state in India for his kids.

The vehicle is an exact replica of an old Willys Jeep, which is quite iconic in India.

Shakir built the vehicle from scratch by himself.

He had been working on the Jeep whenever his job allowed him enough free time while working in Qatar.

In a similar case, we saw another dedicated father, who built a Lamborghini Vision GT for his son.

Similarly, Shakir also built the chassis for the car in his house.

While the sheet metal work was done at a local workshop.

How was it built?

The car took about 1 year to build, costing him ₹1.75 lakh (around $2100).

It is quite similar in size to the Micro Mini Cooper, which is one of the most compact cars in the world.

Initially, the electric Jeep was powered by a 1000W motor and offered a range of up to 60 km on a single charge.

However, Shakir added a motorcycle engine to the mini Jeep, sourced from a Bajaj Discover.

According to Shakir, the vehicle gets an average fuel efficiency of about 35kmpl.

To complete this brilliant DIY project, the Jeep was built using parts from several different vehicles.

The wheels have been built using multiple parts from different cars, while the tires came from a Tata Ace mini truck.

In addition to the driver and passenger seats, Shakir also built two side-facing bench seats at the back.

Although the Jeep is made for kids, it can fit 2-3 average-sized adults.

There are so many amazing DIY projects, just like this that have to be seen to be believed.

The mini Jeep was first shown on an Indian YouTube channel called Food N Tips by safeer.
