Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg is now the world’s third-richest man, taking that spot from Elon Musk, the latest reports suggest.
This is the first time since November 2020 that Zuckerberg has outpaced the Tesla CEO in terms of net worth.
Musk was on top of the world’s richest people list until last month.
However, things went downhill as he slipped down into fourth position.

But why did that happen?
Tesla reported that its vehicle deliveries fell drastically in the first week of April.
Plus, Reuters reported that Tesla had canceled plans to launch a budget car.
That added fuel to the already massive fire.
Tesla’s share prices fell shortly after both reports.
This could have had an effect on Musk’s overall net worth, it would be fair to assume.
Hence, Musk – who was at the top of the Bloomberg Billionaires Index – fell to fourth place.
Just more bad news, especially after we never got to see the cage fight between the arch-rivals which was supposed to happen last year.
It seems like Zuckerberg had other plans to win against the Musketeer.
Although, there’s still a silver lining if you want to see the cage fight happen.
Elon Musk only recently posted that he’s still ready to compete with the Meta CEO.
The Tesla CEO’s overall wealth shrunk by $48.4 billion this year, while Zuckerberg added $58.9 billion to his net worth.
That’s likely due to Meta’s recent success stories.
Despite having a few hiccups in recent times, Meta continues to push boundaries.
So, what’s Zuckerberg’s newest net worth?
Mark Zuckerberg now has a net worth of $186.9 billion, while Musk has $180.6 billion.
Above him, there’s Amazon’s executive chairman, Jeff Bezos, at $207 billion.
If Meta stays on its current track, Zuck might just surpass Bezos, too.
Finally, French businessman Bernard Arnault sits at the top of the list as the world’s richest man, with a net worth of $223 billion.
It will be interesting to see if Zuck can maintain his position as the world’s third-richest man, or push on even higher.
