When you travel all over the world for the best part of the year, like Max Verstappen, it makes sense to have an efficient means of transport.
It no surprise that, over the years, several Formula One drivers have opted for private jets.
Fernando Alonso and Max Verstappen are currently the only drivers to own a private jets, although the latter probably wishes he didn’t.

If you drive and your buddies don’t, the likeliness is they’re always wanting to hitch a ride.
The same applies to Max Verstappen, who regular shares his private jet with other F1 drivers including Daniel Riccardo and Lando Norris.
In fairness, it’s not really hard to see why.
As well as a Bond-inspired car collection, the current F1 world champion owns a Dassault Falcon 900EX which is operated by Dutch private jet charter company Exxaero.
There’s owning a private jet, then there’s owning a stealthy-looking jet finished in matte black and bright orange.
The cool-looking trijet, registered as PH-DTF, has a maximum range of 4,725 nautical miles (8,750 kilometers) and a top speed of 554 mph (893 km/h).
Max Verstappen bought it from none other that Virgin boss Richard Branson in 2020, reportedly forking out $14 million for the aircraft.
All jokes aside, the Dutch driver is probably grateful for the company on the many flights he makes.
Plus it makes sense to ride share considering many F1 drivers live in Monaco.
Like Verstappen, F1 star Fernando Alonso has an impressive car collection, which included a Ferrari Enzo he recently sold.
He also has a private jet, in his case a three-engine Dassault Falcon 900 (registered EC-JNZ).
While these two may be the only drivers to have their own jet currently, many more will use private jets to get to races.
Chartering as you go is increasingly popular with VIPs and celebrities – not just for cost but to help with environmental impact and image.
Seven-time world champion and Mercedes driver, Sir Lewis Hamilton, used to own a Bombardier Challenger 606, registered as G-LCDH (Lewis Carl Davidson Hamilton).
However, Hamilton sold the burgundy bird back in 2019 to better live up to his own sustainability standards.
Hamilton’s dog, a bulldog named Roscoe, still apparently flies private from time to time, according to the pup’s social media accounts.
