After buying both a Tesla Model Y and a Porsche Taycan within the last year, YouTube star and Sidemen member Simon ‘Miniminter’ Minter has made the surprise decision to get rid of his supercar.
The British influencer has driven a range of supercars in various content challenges, including a Bugatti Chiron.
But for his daily driver, both a Tesla Model Y and Porsche Taycan dominated.
That was until he sold the supercar.

The Porsche Taycan is a wonderful creation, with the electric vehicle being a stud to look at, a darling to charge, and a real bad boy when it comes to performance.

It has often proven to be an upgrade from other EVs, such as the Tesla Model S.
Yet YouTube star Miniminter has sold his Taycan at the expense of keeping a Model Y.
Why? Well, he claims that the Taycan was too good a car for his needs…

Minter revealed that he sold the Taycan because he cared too much about it and didn’t want it to get damaged. Whereas his Tesla had become more expendable.
“I drove it a few times and I loved it, it’s a nice car. However, if I was driving down the motorway, I’d rather be in the Tesla, in case there is traffic.”
“I cared so much about the Porsche that I didn’t want to go down country lanes in case I had to lean into a bush – whereas with the Tesla I don’t care that much anymore.
“I like driving it, I didn’t ‘just drive’ much though,” he said in an upload on YouTube shorts.

The Sidemen Group has enjoyed massive success on YouTube. They’ve even thrown charity soccer events selling out the 90,000 seater Wembley Stadium in the UK.
But despite all this, his choice of car is less eccentric than the likes of fellow creator Darren ‘iShowSpeed’ Watkins Jr.’s Ronaldo-themed Lamborghini.
His Sidemen stalwart companion KSI currently owns a Rolls-Royce Wraith, a Porsche Cayenne, and a Lamborghini Aventador.
But there’s still time for this creator to get to grips with his car collection and learn to cruise in style.
