This superyacht, codenamed Project Javelin and born in North Carolina, is a visionary attempt at innovating the yachting industry, and – if anything – it’s as promising as it gets.

You see, it wants to be wildly different from all the yachts that came before it, which is what its designer intended.

Project Javelin stands out because it’s not just a regular yacht, but a ‘flexyacht’ that can adapt to different scenarios.

We’re talking about everything from taking it out on a family dinner to conquering the Caribbean with peak luxury.

Futuristic superyacht is flexible enough to do everything you need

Designed by Designova Creative founder J. David Weiss, Project Javelin is not your everyday luxury superyacht.

It’s a 65-meter vessel that doesn’t fit into any categories like a ‘motor,’ ‘sail,’ or an ‘explorer’ yacht.

Instead, the superyacht concept embodies adaptability — meaning you can use it for drastically different adventures.

Although that perk alone is enough to make it more modern than conventional luxury superyachts, there’s more.

This ‘new yacht’ also looks futuristic and has a handful of functional features that make it easier to run.

Since it’s only 65 meters long — which seems bite-sized compared to some of the largest luxury superyachts in the world — it houses state-of-the-art tech that allows it to take sharper turns easily.

Moreover, the ‘open yacht’ or ‘flexyacht’ ideology makes sure that you will be able to quickly get it running for spontaneous short trips on one day, and long journeys on the other.

Project Javelin has an ‘open design’

You also get multiple interior design options that include an optional aircraft landing pad, different seating arrangements, and flexible storage space.

“The emergence of Project Javelin has been called forth by the rapidly evolving tapestry of yachting,” Weiss said.

What Weiss said certainly seems to be true, as more and more yachting companies and designers are coming up with bizarre concepts and plans.

For instance, this superyacht concept is longer than four blue whales and comes with a futuristic underwater lounge.

Or this spaceship-inspired 351ft vessel by the shipyard that built Jeff Bezos’ yacht, for that matter.

Case in point — newer boats like these will start looking marginally different in the next few years.

However, most of these are still a concept, and it will take many billionaires to commission them into real life.
