The 2024 Tesla Cybertruck and the 2024 Porsche 911 Turbo S are giants in their own automotive categories – however this drag race challenge will finally pit the titans against one another.
The Cybertruck has an undisputed advantage in terms of its EV-torque launch.
But the Porsche is spring-loaded with an aerodynamic design.

Thomas and James of Throttle House, wanted to ‘avenge’ Porsche after Tesla claimed to have beaten a 911 while towing one.
The Cybertruck has the upper hand in terms of impressive wheel torque – however, its exact motor torque remains unclear due to Tesla’s unconventional calculations.
The Cybertruck does 0 to 60mph (0-97km/h) in just 2.6 seconds, which makes it faster than most supercars out there.
What we do know is that it has significantly more power than the 911 Turbo S.
The Porsche 911 Turbo S, meanwhile, is known for its insane acceleration and precision – this makes it a worthy opponent in any race.
The Porsche 911 Turbo S, meanwhile, offers an impressive 640 horsepower and a top track speed of 205mph (330km/h).
The drag race
As the light turns green, the Cybertruck launches quickly off the line, but the light-on-its-wheels 911 Turbo S is quick to overtake.
We’ve already seen the Tesla Cybertruck launching off the line like an F1 car at a stoplight, but it seems to struggle at higher speeds due to a less-then aerodynamic design and difficulty in sustaining speed.
That’s why it’s ultimately the victor.
Both vehicles showcase impressive yet different capabilities that in a rolling race also saw the Porsche taking the lead.
While the Porsche 911 Turbo S excels in racing, the hosts acknowledge that brute towing capability and utility are the forté of the Tesla Cybertruck.
