Cryptic images of the upcoming Tesla ‘Juniper’ have been leaked ahead of release
As ever, the images don’t exactly paint a clear picture.
But they still give us at least a vague idea of what’s coming.

The images were shared by a Tesla employee who, according to rumors, works at Tesla’s Shanghai Gigafactory.
The pictures immediately went viral on X, and they show close-up shots of the rear section, and the interior.
What we can expect from the new Tesla Juniper

First and foremost, we should point out that Juniper is just an internal code name for the face-lifted Model Y.
The name began surfacing last year when rumors about ‘Project Juniper’ began to spread.
In theory, this was supposed to be a ‘major revamp‘, but in practice, it’ll probably be a mild facelift.
Based on these images, and based on what Tesla did with the Model 3, the new Model Y will probably have smoother angles, smaller headlamps, and a larger LED strip at the back.
The cabin will also be upgraded, with an over-the-air update for the infotainment system.
Tesla Model Y performance and spec

The current-gen Model Y starts at just over $31,000 and boasts 515 km (320 m) of range.
The range-topping model does 531 km (330 m) on a charge, while the equivalent performance-focused version does 0-97 km/h / 0-60 mph in 3.5 seconds.
For the new ‘Juniper’, it’s safe to say we can take all of those numbers and make them a bit better.
Probably a few more miles of range, probably a slightly better 0-97 km/h / 0-60 mph time.
Except for the price.
That, unfortunately, is probably not going to be lower, it is likely going to remain the same or be slightly higher in a best-case scenario.
