Someone found a highly unusual amount of cars in a car graveyard in the UK, making for an incredibly sad sight for car enthusiasts.

Forests are a natural habitat for flora and fauna — but they’re not the first place you’d expect to find abandoned cars.

While most cars of the cars were old and incapacitated, some iconic cars stood out above the others.

The UK forest car graveyard

A YouTuber who goes by ‘ABANDONED UK’ found this car graveyard and posted a video about it.

It appears as if these magnificent motors were tragically dumped in the beauty spot.

Most cars had rusted and rotten to a point beyond recognition.

Trees had grown inside, around, and on top of several cars, and some appeared partially buried.

The YouTuber spotted several cars, including everyday family runarounds like the Ford Transit, VW minivan, and Ford Fiestas.

Moreover, the car graveyard seemed like it was home to practical rides that had ceased to be of use.

But in this massive haystack, there were also hidden gems.

Not just your everyday cars

The YouTuber spotted a few rare Mercedes models that looked like they were at least a decade old.

There was also a Jeep Chrysler and a BMW sedan that were in relatively better shape than others.

If the car’s value is something to go by, there was also a Volvo in a not-so-pristine condition.

While this car graveyard was big, it still wasn’t as huge as this one in a German forest with tons of classic cars.

Or Montana’s secret car graveyard with luxury classics, including Rolls-Royces and Cadillacs, for that matter.

But why are there so many places with old and abandoned cars, you ask?

Cars like these are dumped when they’re no longer of use and have any working parts removed.

Dealing with the entire scrapping process might sound like a daunting task to some, so they end up — or used to end up — in the middle of nowhere.
