It’s the ultimate DIY – turning an old couch into an electric car.
And that’s exactly what Marko Terzo did, with hopes he’d “be able to drive [the] couch around the streets just like a car”.
Step one: he attached four wheels to the bottom of the couch.
But more needed to be done.
The next step was hooking up his Boosted Board (an electric skateboard) to the bottom so it would move by itself.
But even with the new addition, it was too slow and had no way to steer.
So the third step was to add steering by drilling a hole in the front of the couch for his scooter handle.

Once he had that installed, the handle and the wheel were hooked up to steer the couch.
And to Marko’s surprise, it works!

“This is real happiness,” he says as he cruises around his driveway.
But the couch car needed more speed, so Marko strapped on a second Boosted Board to the bottom.
And it’s “way faster”.

To hide the steering handle, he covers them with a cushion, really leaning into the couch potato vibes.
And to make it look like the couch is pretty much floating, he staples a fringe around the bottom.
In his last test drive, Marko is totally loving the results.
“After seeing how good the car works, it’s time to take it to the real world,” he declares.

With his creation finished, Marko decides to take his so-called “car” into the streets.
In a tongue-in-cheek moment, he rolls into the car park at Walmart and asks a fellow shopper if the space next to them is “open” before parking in it.
He then pranks a Walmart worker by tricking them into thinking the couch was moving on its own.
“This is scary!” the employee says.

People in the store are also impressed with his invention, saying: “That’s pretty frickin’ cool man.”
Another shopper asks him: “How the hell did you get that?”
Marko responds: “They have em in the back!”
And it appears the shopper believes him going: “You’re kidding!”
Other antics Marko gets up to in the couch car are going through the drive-through to order some food.
And they try to prank a car dealership too.
