But as much as that sounds, the mansion – which people have pointed out looks like something hilarious – wasn’t the most expensive in the state or even the country.

The most expensive home in America was built by someone whose name you’re probably not familiar with.
Rap mogul, Master P, shared a tour of the Bel Air estate dubbed “The One” on YouTube.
In the video, which is just under 11-minutes long, the rapper and record producer is joined by his sons, Romeo and Hercy, as they tour the most expensive home in America with its then-owner.
Nile Niami, a film producer-turned-real estate developer, builds and sells multi-million dollar mansions in the Los Angeles neighborhoods of Bel Air and Holmby Hills.
10 years ago, Niami had the idea to construct “The One”, with the goal of building the biggest, priciest house in the country.
The 105,000-square-foot Bel Air home has a backyard that spans over an acre.
Not only that, but the mega-mansion contains a staggering 21 bedrooms, an incredible 42 bathrooms, an impressive 10,000-square-foot sky deck, and a phenomenal 30-car garage.
Other luxuries include a bowling alley, movie theater, private nightclub, a full-service beauty salon and wellness spa, and a 10,000-bottle wine cellar in the dining room.
Niami initially hoped to sell it for a whopping $500 million, which would have made it not only the most expensive home in America, but one of the most expensive homes in the world.
But the home was beset with several delays, construction challenges, and cost overruns.
In 2021, it was placed into a court-ordered receivership and later put into bankruptcy.
It listed for $295 million in January 2022, making it the most expensive home for sale in the US at the time, though it marked a sharp discount from the $500 million Niami hoped to get for the home.
When no buyers bid, the home went into bankruptcy auction.
Though the top bid for the home was $126 million, the auction premium and commission fees brought the total closer to $141 million.
The bidder? Fashion Nova’s billionaire CEO, Richard Saghian.
