Polestar O2 concept

Polestar has revealed a new electric roadster concept called the O2, and it might just be the coolest EV we’ve seen.

The Swedish brand says the 02 is their vision for a new era of sports cars that are light, sustainable, and exciting to drive.

Sustainability has been thought about from the very beginning with components being designed to be recycled once the car is no longer in use.

Everything from the interior fabrics down to the aluminium chassis is recyclable.

Polestar has even labelled the different grades of aluminium to make sure they are put to best use in their second life.

As you’d expect, the car is also packed with cutting edge technology.

Taking technology to the next level, the 02 comes with an autonomous drone that lives behind the rear seats.

The drone has been developed in collaboration with electronics brand Hoco Flow and is intended to capture cinematic shots of the car as you drive.

It can follow along up to 56 mph before automatically returning to the car to deliver the footage.

You can even edit and share the video clips directly on the car’s 15-inch infotainment screen.

As it’s only a concept there’s no word on performance or range but if this is the future of sports cars then we’re definitely looking forward to it.
