He didn't just stop with the steering wheel, either.

This guy has merged his Miata with a Nintendo Wii so he can play Mario Kart in real life.

Tyler Atkin has now even affectionately nicknamed his little Miata the ‘Wiiata’ after all the changes.

It all started when Atkin swapped the steering wheel out for the tiny one that attaches to a Wii controller for Mario Kart.

The clip went absolutely viral, amassing 3.1 million views and 220,000 likes.

From there, Atkin swapped out the shift knob for one of the nunchuck controllers used with the Wii.

When someone suggested he use the baseball bat attachment for the handbrake, he was happy to oblige.

But after all these changes, he’s now taking it a step further.

CHECK THIS OUT!

Atkin actually installed a Nintendo Wii on the dashboard.

He’s added a screen on top of the dash as well so he can actually play Mario Kart inside the ‘Wiiata’.

Of course, he’ll need to be stationary to use the Wii steering wheel controller to play it effectively.

Atkin is now looking to get even more viewer input as to the next stage of the Wiiata build.

He’s asking his viewers to submit their design ideas for a livery to wrap it in.

He says if he hits 100,000 followers by August, he’ll put up a poll and let his audience decide.

Currently, Atkin is sitting at 72,100 followers at the time of writing.

But how do his additions actually perform?

Atkin says driving with the Wii steering wheel is “absolutely awful – do not recommend”.

Even if it is, we can’t help but find it a hilariously brilliant addition to his tiny car.
