Remember the Lancia Delta Integrale?

Who could forget it – it was one of the most successful rally cars of the Group A era.

It was a sensational road car, too.

Other than the Ypsilon, we’ve not heard much from the Italian car maker for years – that was until now.

Lancia is officially back, and to say we’re a little bit excited would be an understatement.

Part of Stellantis, it’s now positioning itself as an electric luxury brand, with the first new model due in 2024.

As part of the big unveiling, we’ve seen a new logo, as well as the Pu+Ra Zero concept.

The sculpture is meant to preview some of the design language the Italian car company‘s future models will use.

The Lancia Pu+Ra Zero concept pays homage to the classic lines of the Aurelia B20, as well as the Flaminia.

If you look carefully, you may notice that the taillights are a direct reference to the Stratos – another rally legend.

Expect to see these design cues on a new Ypsilon, Delta, and a new as-yet-not-named Lancia flagship, which should arrive between 2024 and 2028.

A redesigned logo

The new logo is a major milestone in itself, as in 116 years of history, there have only been seven logos.

It’s meant to be a symbol of the new era of Lancia, marking its entry into electric mobility.

This new logo will be displayed on the new Ypsilon, on the new Delta, and on the new flagship.

It’s mainly inspired by the 1957 logo, which was first introduced on the Flaminia.

The new logo “represents an authentic jewel” and that is “capable of expressing innovation, premiumness and Italian-ness with a touch of eclecticism, given by the asymmetrical lance.”

Lancia also announced its collaboration with Italian furniture maker Cassini, in regard to the interior design of its models.
