While the family is known – in part – for a fleet of impressive supercars, the billionaire son-in-law of Mukesh Ambani drives a surprisingly pedestrian car: the Toyota sedan.

Anand Piramal was seen arriving at Antilla, the Ambani family’s home, in a silver Toyota Camry hybrid sedan.

He was also seen riding shotgun, while most of the Ambani family tend to sit in the rear seat.

Mukesh Ambani and his family’s fleet of cars

With two Ferrari Purosangue SUVs, nine Rolls-Royce Cullinan, and a Ferrari SF90 Stradale, the Ambani garage has plenty of impressive cars.

And, as the family grows, with Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant getting married this weekend, members are frequently seen escorted by a nine-SUV convoy.

However, Isha Ambani’s husband, Anand Piramal, was seen arriving at the Antilla residence for a dinner party in a very different vehicle.

The surprisingly humble car

The car in question is a Toyota Camry sedan.

Sure, the luxury sedan is far from an old banger, but it’s pretty humble when you’re a family that gets Rihanna to perform at a pre-wedding bash.

This video of him vacating the car was shared on Instagram by Varinder Chawla.

Piramal vacates the front passenger dressed casually in slippers – which is again surprising for a chauffeur-driven dynasty who prefers back-seat travel.

However, he was surrounded by a number of other security cars, including Mahindra XUV500s, MG Glosters, and Land Rover Discoverys.

And he’s clearly a fan of the model – as he was previously captured in a black version.

This car in particular is a previous-generation model.

The Toyota Camry is one of the most luxurious Japanese cars on the market and is priced at over $55,000.

Boasting a 2.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, its motor produces 175 bhp plus 221 Nm of torque.

This engine is mated to a continuously variable transmission (CVT).
