These guys were on a trip to Las Vegas and bought the world’s cheapest Mercedes G-Wagen after spending some time in a BMW workshop.
Before you assume anything — no, the BMW workshop didn’t have anything to do with the Mercedes purchase — well, not really.
It was an impulse buy, and they bought it because this G-Wagen is just a little bit iconic.
What’s more, they settled on its final price using a coin flip – because, when in Vegas…

An exciting Las Vegas trip
The duo from the Autoalex v2 YouTube channel were on a Las Vegas trip to visit their friends from a BMW workshop called Sin City BMW.
They were simply there to see what projects the workshop had going on.
Let us tell you, it was no ordinary workshop.
In fact, the YouTubers were there because they and the owners were all enthusiasts who shared a love for German cars.
Unlike exotic names like this BMW M3 GTR, most rides there were classics like the Z8, E30 325i (3 Series), and the 2002.
We can’t list all the iconic cars in the workshop, so if you want to watch passionate BMW fans talking about them, you can watch the full clip.
Anyway, the star of today’s show was a Mercedes G-Wagen hiding among a truckload of its competitors.
Buying the world’s cheapest Mercedes G-Wagen
This G-Wagen came with an interesting backstory.
Its owners drove it all the way to Vegas after purchasing it in Germany.
They couldn’t figure out what to do with it, so the previous owners just dropped the keys at a nearby Mercedes workshop.
Furthermore, the Mercedes guys gave it to the BMW dealership because restoring it was too much work.
But the YouTubers here caught a liking to it and decided to buy it when they found out its engine was still kicking.
Speaking about impulse buys and Mercedes, Shaq bought a custom Merc from the people who were delivering him another car.
Spontaneous purchases can be interesting — this man bought a Superbird after seeing a decades-old ad.
After a humorous coin flip battle, they settled on a price of $3,000 for the G-Wagen.
You could say they bought the world’s cheapest Mercedes G-Wagen on a whim, but it’s fun when enthusiasts do stuff like this.
It’s definitely good content, anyway.
