When it comes to the EV game China is a front runner

One luxury SUV dubbed the ‘Chinese Mercedes-Maybach’ was even filmed parking itself like a pro as an ‘automated valet’.

And even though a lot of cheap cars come out of China, the king of Chinese cars costs $3.8 million.

But when it comes to electric cars – arguably Xiaomi takes the crown.

Enter the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra EV

The car is described by Xiaomi itself as being ‘free from unnecessary decoration’ and has two-speed adaptive adjustment, perfect for daily driving.

It has power under the hood too, generating a maximum level of 1548HP, going from 0-100KMH in a mere 1.98 seconds.

The Xiaomi even has its very own 24-Karat gold and carbon fibre badge adorning the bonnet – talk about luxury.

The EV has also made history

The SU7 Ultra has set a ‘new benchmark’ too by being the first four-door sedan on a mass production line to get from 0-200KMH in 5.86 seconds.

And if that wasn’t enough for you, the SUV can also reach 350KMH (217MPH).

Beware though, as if you would like to purchase one of these EVs, you have to pass a special driving test first.

What did iShowSpeed think?

Well, after catching a ride in the front cab of one of the hotly anticipated vehicle, he was clearly impressed

“$70,000 and it’s faster than my Lamborghini?” he asked.

The YouTuber really couldn’t contain his excitement at the swift shape shifter.

“Woah, bro ain’t no way,” he continued as he experienced the power of the Chinese electric car.

We’re not surprised that he was impressed either, as the car has also taken to the race tracks in China.

It was so fast and impressive that it was indeed crowned the fastest production car at Shanghai International Circuit.

Would you like to ride in this powerhouse?

We certainly would, that’s for sure.
