This Californian man rented a Home Depot van to help him move but ran into a problem when it needed filling up with gas.
After pulling up at a station pump he jumped out to start filling up the tank.
However, after trying – and failing – to find exactly where to do that on the van, he was baffled.
So, he turned to TikTok to explain the situation – but solved the mystery as he pressed upload.

Gas-guzzlers are on the way out… Mostly
Over the last few years, there’s been a huge shift to EVs.
The humble Tesla has been leading the EV way with the Roadster, which even reached space.
Plus, one woman has turned her minuscule three-wheeled EV into possibly the tiniest home ever.
So, it’s clear that electric is here to stay. But that doesn’t mean gas-guzzlers have ceased to exist.
A Californian rented a Home Depot van to help him move
In fact Home Depot actually offers a variety of vehicles to help with situations such as moving or picking up a big piece of furniture.
And, after he’d completed moving his belongings, it was time to return the van to its rightful owners. Not before he’d filled it up with gas though.
So, doing the sensible thing he pulled up to the gas station in an attempt to refuel the vehicle – but it didn’t quite go to plan.
Taking to TikTok @tristan.amaya, he shared how he became puzzled quite quickly.
“I just rented this van to help me move and I’m here to put gas in before I return it.
“I can’t find the gas thing,” he explained.

He noted that the dash notified him what side the gas cap was actually on. But after scanning the van several times, it was simply nowhere to be found.
“I don’t get it, I’m about to Google.” he continued. And then…
“I feel really dumb right now,” he continued.
Because, just as he was asking TikTok for advice, he opened a door of the van and revealed the cap.
Now, we admit it was hidden, but he solved his own problem in just a few minutes – no Google necessary.
Online, people were tickled by his gas cap situation
“You saw it the exact moment the rest of us did,” said one user.
“These are the situations where I say quietly to myself ‘I have a college degree I can do this,'” joked another user named Trisha.
Have you ever encountered this? Or are you an expert in all things filling up? It would be a first for us – that’s for sure.
