Cristiano Ronaldo drops multi millions on ‘Billionaire’s Island’ mansion

Cristiano Ronaldo has gone and added a mega-mansion on ‘Billionaires Island’ in Dubai to his already incredible real-estate portfolio.

In case you’re unfamiliar with ‘Billionaires Island’ – it’s actual name is Jumeirah Bay Island, and it’s a secluded Dubai enclave that’s home to the super rich.

According to Bloomberg, the Portuguese superstar will move into his new mega-mansion some time in 2024.

Sounds like Cristiano Ronaldo will fit right in on Billionaires Island.

After all, he’s worth in the region of $136 million according to Forbes – and he’s certainly not afraid to spend his hard-earned money.

Recently, the center-forward jetted back to Madeira, Portugal to surprise his mother with a Porsche on her birthday.

And when Ronaldo hired his friend Brazilian singer, Luan Santana, to sing at his NYE party – he gifted him a $40,000 Rolex watch.

Back to the mega-mansion, and while specifications are unknown, it’s rumored to have cost in the region of tens of millions of euros.

For context, a separate mansion for sale on Billionaires Island is measured at 30,000 square meters, has six bedrooms, private access to the beach, a seven-car garage, a spa, a swimming pool with a view of downtown Dubai, and on-site accommodation for staff.

As for why it’s called Billionaires Island – unsurprisingly the number of billionaires living there per square km reportedly surpasses any other place in the UAE.

According to Bloomberg, the island has fast become home to wealthy Saudis, Israelis, Indians and Russians in the short time since it opened in 2017.

During the early stages of the pandemic, a developer reportedly began to scoop up parts of the land on the secluded, seahorse-shaped Jumeirah Bay Island.

After several years of construction, 10 mega-mansions have been built, with Dubai-based developer, Palace Luxury Living, revealing the villas were expected to fetch $545 million in total, averaging out at $54.5 million per property.

The island, which is part of a gated community, includes several fine-dining restaurants, a yacht club and beach resort, while also directly facing the open sea and famous Burj Khalifa building.

What’s more, some of the wealthy individuals who don’t own properties on the island still use it as a base, staying in the aforementioned luxury resort during their visits to Dubai.

It’s expected that Cristiano Ronaldo will spend time at his new mega-mansion with his partner, Georgina Rodriguez, and his five children, with a flight from Riyadh, where he’s based in Saudi Arabia, taking just two hours.
