A Ford F-150 owner tried to show how much it cost to fill his tank up with gas, but it didn’t go to plan.
Before he could fill the tank up completely, the pump shut off.
He spent $100 and wasn’t even near to to the top
So how much does it actually cost?

If you want a full tank you’re looking at more than $100
Although a beast that looks the part, the running costs carry quite the catch.
A full tank may just make your bank account cry.
Or even warrant a second mortgage.
So, one Ford owner decided to document just how much it cost to fill up his tank, and you might be surprised.
Eager to be fully transparent, he pulled into the gas station, selected Super Unleaded and watched his tank rise until it said he had ‘507 miles until empty’.
“My rough guess is that it would cost anywhere between $130 to $150 to get this thing a full tank,” he said.
But as we know, the pump shut off before we could find out, so we can only hope he does another, more successful attempt next.

The Ford purchase price is a lot, too
To buy new, a Ford F150 is priced at $39,245.
But, it does come with flashy features.
A satin chrome exterior and a platinum hood badge means it looks rather impressive on the road.
Plus, there’s even an interior office space for workaholics too.
Howver, the running costs may leave a nasty hole in your bank account.
Updates also mean that it can tow up to 13,500 pounds thanks to an amplified towing range – so you can tow almost anything.
And comfort really is key with updated interior.
But, despite all these improvements to their 2025 model, the F-150 has been dethroned from the number one car in the US for the first time in 47 years.
