General Motors is offering Chevy restorations in-house, but there’s a pretty huge catch – because it depends where you are.

The classic restorations that mean the cars look as good as new are simply not happening in the US.

Brazilian Chevy owners are the only ones who can receive the offer.

Still, it could be the answer to many vintage car owner’s prayers.

Chevrolets are famed within the classic car world

America has long been in love with muscle cars, and Chevy makes some of the most beloved models.

In fact, the muscle cars are so popular that nostalgic footage has shown how they were made in the 1960s in the United States – cool right?

In a weirder turn of events, the company even created an innovative steering wheel called the Spinner Wheel in the 1940s, and it’s cooler than anything seen since.

But, thanks to this new program, things could be about to get a whole lot cooler.

The in-house project means business – well, restorations

Yes, that’s right. If your classic wheels are in need of some attention, then we might have the solution for you.

General Motors is offering some of its classic cars the chance to be given a helping hand getting back to their former glory.

Updates are also being given to vintage cars to increase comfort and safety – a win-win situation in our eyes.

The project focuses on ‘resto-mods’ as well as pure restorations, bringing some classics crashing into the 21st century.

We can hear the cheers from here.

It’s all in aid of a rather special anniversary

The restoration project is all in aid of the brand’s anniversary in Brazil – it’s celebrating its 100th birthday there.

It’s called Chevrolet Vintage and will improve cars originating from the 1960s to the 1990s.

There is a catch though – there’s no US option for the restorations

Sadly, the program is only running in Brazil as part of their centenary celebrations.

But, who knows – the program could run worldwide if it’s popular among South American gearheads.

Only time will tell.

Until then, maybe it’s time to ditch the US and head south of the Equator with your vintage wheels?
