There’s a silent battle going on between Hollywood, streaming services and YouTube, and YouTube appears to be winning.
This is certainly how MrBeast must feel, because the world’s most subscribed YouTuber made a killing in 2023.
A lot more than most Hollywood or Netflix stars.

Here’s an impressive stat – if you included MrBeast in the list of highest paid Hollywood stars in 2023, he’d make the top 10.
In fact, he’d probably make the top 5.
The 25-year-old hailing from Kansas made $82 million in 2023.
That’s $6.8 million a month, which means he made more than most NFL or NBA stars, and even more than most actors.
He also made a lot more than Ryan Gosling and Margot Robbie – the stars of the massively successful Hollywood blockbuster, Barbie.
MrBeast certainly believes in the ‘you have to spend money to make money’ mantra.
His videos cost a fortune to make, partly because of the high production value, but also because he often gives a lot of stuff away.
Sometimes it could be an island, while on other occasions he literally gives away actual cash money.
When it comes to this year’s earnings, it’s worth noting that Elon Musk’s X will probably play a key part.
After months of hesitation, MrBeast finally uploaded his first piece of content to X – and he made an absurd amount of money from that, too.
And with a proposed $100 million Amazon deal on the way, his net worth is probably going to go up even more.
