Someone who owns a top-of-the-line Tesla Model S Plaid decided to pit it against another car he owns — a Lamborghini Revuelto – in an all-out drag race.
The contenders certainly came as a shock to begin with, but this was no ordinary race.
As a matter of fact, the results were even more surprising than you would expect.
The upgraded Model S won, but the margin was far too wide for anyone not to be stunned.

Tesla Model S Plaid vs. Lamborghini Revuelto
YouTube channel DragTimes recently posted a video where the host took out the two completely different cars of the modern era on the track.
One of them was one of the Italian automaker’s flagships — the Lamborghini Revuelto.
It packs a hybrid powertrain with three electric motors and a good-ol’ ICE V12, which produces a combined 1,001 horsepower and 749lb-ft of torque.
On the other hand, a 2021 Tesla Model S Plaid features a tri-motor AWD setup with a $20,000 Track Package.
Both contenders are capable of exceeding 1,000 horsepower, which is one of the main reasons the YouTuber drag-raced them.
The Tesla, however, is much cheaper than the Lamborghini — despite its added packages and upgrades.
So, what happens when these two go head-to-head?
A breathtaking drag race
The YouTuber raced the Tesla Model S Plaid and the Lamborghini Revuelto three times, which gave us satisfactory results.
Satisfactory in the sense that nobody saw it coming, and yet things ended the same way in all three races.
After the lights went green, the Lamborghini seemed to have a clear edge, but it was short-lived.
The Model S quickly passed the Revuelto and finished the 1/2-mile race at 184mph (296km/h), with the Italian supercar finishing at 174mph (280 km/h).
Furthermore, the second race saw a faster end for the Tesla as it finished at 185mph (298km/h) while the Lambo stayed at its previous best.
After the third and final race, it was time for some numbers.
The Revuelto managed to pull off a 0 to 60mph in 2.52 seconds and cross the 1/4-mile mark in 9.9 seconds at 143.3mph (231km/h).
Although these are pretty incredible numbers, the pure electric powertrain inside the Model S was the clear victor.
The Model S Plaid completed 0-60mph in a mere 2.29 seconds and crossed the 1/4-mile line in 9.34 seconds at 151mph (244km/h).
By the way — this was nowhere close to the Model S Plaid’s record of an 8.56-second quarter-mile, which it completed at 162mph (260km/h).
Obviously, this drag race was only for fun and games because performance EVs competing with exotic supercars aren’t exactly either one’s forte.
Moreover, buyers of the Lamborghini Revuelto don’t just buy it for its speed records.
Regardless of that, it certainly was an impressive drag race — considering how much both of these cars cost.
